In an interview with Variety, Doja Cat revealed that for her next album, she’s going “in a more masculine direction.”

She explained that her ideas may not make the album, but she’s been experimenting in the studio with punk sounds. She said, “I want to explore more of a raw, unfiltered, hardcore punk sort of thing. It’s just something that I’m doing for my own personal fun. Getting some drummers and guitarists together.”

She didn’t give a definite date, but guaranteed that a new album would be released by the end of this year.
