Nicki Minaj has reaffirmed her support for President Donald Trump following a recent White House visit, while Cyndi Lauper has shared her thoughts on working with the rapper despite their different political views.
During an Oval Office visit, Trump greeted Minaj by calling her one of his favorites and acknowledging her longtime support. Minaj later responded on X, making it clear that her position had not changed.
The rapper has publicly supported Trump throughout 2026, describing herself as his number one fan during a January appearance in Washington, D.C.
Meanwhile, Lauper addressed her previous collaboration with Minaj in an October 21 interview. The singer said she had no regrets about allowing Minaj to sample her 1983 hit “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” for the 2023 song “Pink Friday Girls.”
The two artists also performed together during Minaj’s 2024 tour.
Although Lauper holds different political views, she explained that she does not believe in canceling people over disagreements. She emphasized the importance of listening, maintaining conversations, and allowing individuals the opportunity to change their perspectives.
