Ariana Grande has stirred renewed speculation about her relationship with former boyfriend and dancer Ricky Alvarez after sharing new photos of the pair. In an Instagram post shared Aug. 12, Grande included two images with Alvarez, including one showing them close together in coordinated outfits.
The photos arrive after another moment that caught fans’ attention during Grande’s July 13 Eternal Sunshine Tour stop. While performing Thank U, Next, she changed a lyric connected to Alvarez, singing that they always find their way back. The moment quickly added to questions about whether the two had grown close again.
Grande and Alvarez first dated from 2015 to 2016 after meeting while he worked as a dancer on her Honeymoon Tour. Their relationship later became part of Grande’s 2018 song Thank U, Next, which referenced several of her past relationships.
The pair have also been seen together publicly in recent months, including at New York’s JFK Airport. Neither Grande nor Alvarez has publicly confirmed that they are dating again.
