A new animated film is bringing together two of Hollywood’s most recognizable stars. It was recently announced that Selena Gomez and Timothée Chalamet will lead the voice cast of Not Alone, an upcoming animated feature scheduled to arrive in theaters in April 2027.
The project marks a reunion for the pair, who previously appeared together in the 2019 film A Rainy Day in New York. In Not Alone, Chalamet voices Joe, a reserved rocket mechanic whose quiet life takes an unexpected turn. Gomez plays Fran, an astro-botanist working on a plant-powered rocket designed for space travel.
The story follows the two characters as they become involved with three aliens seeking shelter while fleeing danger. Their arrival sets off a chain of events that blends science fiction, comedy, and adventure.
The film also features a supporting voice cast that includes Brett Goldstein, Allison Janney, and Lamorne Morris. The animated feature comes from the studio behind several successful family-friendly franchises and represents Chalamet’s first major animated voice role.
Production is underway ahead of the film’s planned 2027 release.
