Spotify wrapped up 2025 on a high note, posting growth across nearly every major metric. In its fourth-quarter earnings report released this week, the company said paid subscriptions rose to 290 million. Total monthly active users climbed to 751 million worldwide, marking a new record for the platform.

Money followed the audience. Quarterly revenue reached €4.5 billion, driven by premium subscriptions and solid advertising performance. Operating income jumped to €701 million, a sharp increase from the previous year. The company attributed that improvement to tighter cost controls and a more disciplined operating structure after a period of restructuring.

On the earnings call, the first led by Co-CEOs Alex Norström and Gustav Söderström, executives pointed to strong engagement in major markets. The 2025 Wrapped campaign alone drew more than 300 million users. Leadership also emphasized ongoing investment in video, podcasts, and audiobooks as Spotify continues expanding beyond music.

Looking ahead, the company has labeled 2026 the Year of Raising Ambition. Its goal: approach 800 million monthly active users by year’s end.

With steady subscriber growth and rising revenue, Spotify heads into 2026 with clear momentum and a broader platform strategy.
